- Easy Guide for Wealth & Career

by Master Wey, Ba Zi guide

In the hustle and bustle of society, it's hard to deny that money matters for our spiritual journey. Prosperity isn't just about having cash; it's about having the freedom to choose and act on those choices. When money is tight, decisions often boil down to mere survival tactics. Let's face it, whether we like it or not, our health, social circles, and even our relationships are intertwined with our financial situation. That's why it's smart to prioritize prosperity but with a sprinkle of caution. Too much focus on wealth can sometimes leave us neglecting our well-being. After all, what we're really after is balance and harmony in every aspect of life.

Now, let's talk money and career. There are two key areas to dissect: you, and your living and working environments. Sometimes, the root of the problem lies within ourselves, and until we address that, Feng Shui might not work its magic. A little self-reflection and personal growth can go a long way. That's why I've put together an easy guide to integrate Feng Shui principles into your personal development journey.

If you've done all you can for yourself but your financial and professional situation remains stagnant, it's time to turn your attention to your home and maybe even your workspace.

When it comes to your office, it's a bit tricky. If you're not the boss calling the shots, trying to change things up might feel like banging your head against a brick wall. Instead, focus on what you can control, like sprucing up your living space within your means.

Like most things in life, diving into Feng Shui depends on what's in your wallet. But don't worry, creating a Feng Shui-friendly home is a step-by-step process. Start with a home analysis (a Feng Shui audit) to pinpoint any issues and find potential fixes. Remember, there's no such thing as a perfect home. They all have their ups and downs, good corners and not-so-good ones. Focus on what you can change and put aside what's out of reach for now.

Ultimately, if at least half of your home's corners and Flying Stars are on your side, you're in a pretty good spot.

Once you've figured out which area of your life needs a tune-up, let's roll up our sleeves and get to work. Just remember, even if you've got multiple areas you're eager to improve, taking it one step at a time is the way to go.

Conducting Your Feng Shui Analysis

Every Feng Shui journey begins right at home, where you take a good look at your surroundings and how your home is positioned. You'll want to know which direction it faces magnetically and when it was first built or last renovated. Don't worry, though; it's easier than it sounds! Just follow the simple instructions laid out in our articles: Quickly Calculate Your Home's Feng Shui and Examine Your Surroundings: Essential Feng Shui Start. Understanding the external Forms of your home is crucial because without considering the Forms, the stars are nothing more than numbers on a map. Lastly, remember that time is crucial in Feng Shui. To ensure that furniture rearrangements, home renovations, or applying any Feng Shui remedies are effective, choosing the most suitable moments for these changes is essential. Please refer to the article Feng Shui Harmony: Perfect Timing for Renovations & Remedies.

Once you've got the magnetic direction and construction year sorted, along with a check of the external shapes, BaZi Advisor has everything it needs to dive deep into your Feng Shui analysis. This info is neatly presented in the next sections on the Feng Shui page. It might seem like a lot to digest, especially if you're new to Feng Shui, but fear not! We're here to walk you through it step by step, showing you how to use this data to level up your financial and professional game.

Let's dive into the fascinating world of Feng Shui and explore two powerful methods for analyzing buildings and finding remedies:

  1. Ba Zhai - 8 Palaces Analysis: This method breaks down every building into nine sectors, called Palaces, with eight based on cardinal points and one in the center. Each palace corresponds to an element, creating a unique energy distribution inside the building. There are four favorable and four unfavorable palaces. The remedies applied after this analysis provide long-term effects, spanning over a year or more. You can easily apply the Ba Zhai remedies suggested even without any Feng Shui knowledge, without "believing in Feng Shui," and you will notice the results over time. This is how most practitioners have started.
  2. Flying Stars Analysis: In contrast to Ba Zhai, Flying Stars offer quicker results, typically within a few months. However, these effects may not last as long as Ba Zhai remedies, requiring periodic revisits and adjustments. The arrangement of Flying Stars depends on changes in Heavenly Qi, Earthly Qi, and Man's Qi. Key events like changing the roof, renovating at least one-third of the dwelling, or all tenants vacating the building for at least three months trigger a change in the Building Year. That's why, if you're dissatisfied with the Flying Stars arrangement in your home, consider changing the Building Year to the current year. Suppose you are happy with the potential outcome when you change the building year in BaZi Advisor and want to make the change and can handle the logistics. In that case, you can either change the roof, renovate more than a third of the building, or temporarily move in with your family for a little over three months. During this time, ensure no one enters the dwelling to maintain the integrity of the Feng Shui adjustments. It's a significant step, but it can bring about transformative changes in your living space and life.

Ba Zhai or 8 Palaces Analysis for Prosperity

Ba Zhai analysis has long-term effects (one year and more) and they are preferable when you want the effects to manifest over a long period of time, spanning years. You can see the results of this analysis and the proposed remedies when you press the see Ba Zhai details button located in the panel's header of each sector.

You can easily apply the Ba Zhai remedies suggested even without any Feng Shui knowledge, without "believing in Feng Shui," and you will notice the results over time. This is how most practitioners have started.

Some positive directions can control negative locations (some sectors), and in these cases, negativity will be annihilated, thus getting rid of the negative sectors. Therefore, negative sectors are preferable to missing sectors. These directions are indicated in the panel that appears when you press the 'See Details' button corresponding to each unfavorable palace (red).

As the first outcome of the Feng Shui analysis, BaZi Advisor presents you with the Bagua of your home. Here, the favorable sectors are marked in green, while the unfavorable ones are in red. Within each sector, you'll find the Base Star, Mountain Star, Water Star, and the three Temporary Stars: Annual, Monthly, and Daily. The background color represents the fundamental element of the sector according to the Later Heaven Bagua.

When it comes to Money, Prosperity, and Career, the sector that catches our attention is F1, also known as the Greedy Wolf or Sheng Qi. This sector's element is Wood, and being a Yang star, it's all about action and generating wealth. In essence, this sector signifies advancements, favorable financial opportunities, political influence, achievements, and leadership.

Career-wise, it's the spot for making money, overcoming obstacles, achieving success, climbing the ladder, and gaining authority, status, and wealth. It's where you find recognition, advancement, growth, and opportunities in trade and business. But here's a tip: it's not ideal for placing your bed—you might find it hard to get a good night's sleep.

To make the most of this sector, it needs to be activated, meaning there should be movement and frequent use in that area. Make sure the sector is clean, airy, and untouched by Sha Qi, both from the outside and the inside. So, if you're looking to boost your career and financial prospects, this is the spot to focus on!

In the example above, the F1 sector is located in the NW. By clicking on it, you'll be directed to its detailed analysis. If the panel itself contains the Flying Stars analysis of the sector, you'll find the "F1 - see Ba Zhai details" button in the panel's header.

This button grants you access to the complete analysis of this sector from the perspective of the 8 Palaces.

Flying Stars Analysis for Wealth and Career

In Feng Shui, Flying Stars denote a sophisticated framework of energy forces that impact the Qi, or vital energy, within a structure or environment. These stars are denoted by numerical values ranging from 1 to 9 and are linked to particular orientations within the area. In general, the nine stars are divided into two categories: four generally considered good, four bad, and one neutral. Good stars are considered to be 1-White, 6-White, 8-White, and 9-Purple, while bad stars are 2-Black, 3-Jade, 5-Yellow, and 7-Red. The 4-Green star is considered neutral.

Out of the 9 Flying Stars, when we're focused on Wealth and Prosperity, the most important stars are 1, 6, 8, and 9, which we'll remind you of here. You can find the attributes of all 9 stars on the Ba Zi Advisor - Easy Guide page, in the Basic Knowledge chapter, by clicking on the badge "Attributes of the 9 Stars."

  • Star 1 - Greedy Wolf: The Star of Wisdom and Reputation.
Symbolizes wisdom, reputation, and entrepreneurial spirit. Associated with the Water element.
  • Star 6 - Military Arts: Star of Leadership and Career.
Promotes leadership, career advancements, and health. Associated with the Metal element.
  • Star 8 - Left Assistant: The Star of Wealth and Prosperity.
Brings integrity, financial prosperity, and wealth. Associated with the Earth element.
  • Star 9 - Right Assistant: The Star of Happiness and Creativity.
Brings recognition, happiness, and creativity. Associated with the Fire element.

When analyzing the stars in a sector, we first look at the Mountain Star (Sitting) and the Water Star (Facing). When it comes to finances, prosperity, and career like in this case, the emphasis is on the Water Star. Besides their individual effects, it's crucial to analyze the effects of their combination, as well as the combinations with the Annual Star and Monthly Star present in that sector.

When it comes to Wealth, Career, and Prosperity, the most important stars are 1, 6, 8, and 9. Among them, Star 9 holds the greatest power because it's in its own period, which started in February 2024 and will last until February 2043. The second most powerful star is 1, as it is nearing the start of its period.

It's crucial to identify the sectors where these stars are positioned as Water Stars so that we can activate them according to their attributes and the roles they can play in achieving your goals. Here's what each star represents:

  • Star 9: It can be activated and useful in all aspects of marketing related to your endeavors.
  • Star 8: It represents the actual cash flow and the demand for the products or services you offer.
  • Star 1: It can attract mentors, investors, or helpful individuals who can support you.
  • Star 6: It governs the smooth execution of activities, the ability to see things through, and the skill to organize others and delegate responsibilities.

It's crucial to consider the favorability of the sectors where these stars reside because activating them in an unfavorable sector could have unintended consequences based on the attributes described in the analysis of the 8 Palaces. Fortunately, the negativity of an unfavorable sector can be permanently neutralized through specific remedies. These remedies are described for each unfavorable sector in the analysis panels of each sector. Such information is available only to users with active subscriptions to BaZi Advisor.

Certainly, not all stars will be in the positions or sectors you desire, but don't let that worry you too much. It's important to focus on what can be done, at least for now, and temporarily set aside what cannot be done. Another important thing to remember is to tackle one thing at a time—don't activate multiple stars or sectors simultaneously. It's also not advisable to activate all four prosperity-related stars, namely 1, 6, 8, and 9, as the elders say, "Too much money destroys health.".

Just like in the examples above, the stars of each sector are described in detail with all their attributes and the effects of their interactions. Some combinations are highly favorable, and even if you don't find them as combinations between Mountain and Water Stars, you may find them during certain periods as combinations between one of these stars and the Annual or Monthly Star.

Personal Greedy Wolf (sheng qi) direction

Using a person's Kua number, eight personal directions are calculated. These include four favorable directions and four unfavorable ones. A direction shall come to maximum effect after you spend some time doing what you do in that direction.

Each resident should memorize these directions and get used to applying them all the time, not just at home. They are valid wherever they may be. Simultaneously, these directions can serve to counteract the negativity associated with particular palaces, when the representative object of that palace is placed in that direction.

Personal directions are calculated for each resident of the house, and to favor the emergence of financial and business opportunities as well as career advancement, it's recommended to have your desk set up in the direction represented by the Greedy Wolf (sheng qi).

Tips and Tricks

  • The role of Feng Shui is to assist and support us in our actions, and we shouldn't expect results if we don't take any proactive steps and simply apply Feng Shui remedies. To achieve success more quickly, it's important to precisely identify the root cause of the issue you're facing so you know exactly which stars and sectors to target, rather than randomly applying remedies.
  • Any combination of stars whose sum adds up to 10 is excellent for partnerships, joint ventures, and teamwork.
  • Look for the sector where your personal Kua number (your identity palace) is located and analyze the stars there to understand the directions in which you should focus for your personal development.
  • To activate a Water Star let the Qi flow in the sector.
  • Find the sector corresponding to your personal Greedy Wolf direction, and the stars there will indicate the areas in which you could excel.
  • For each resident of the house, BaZi Advisor calculates the Personal Purple White Chart. One of the palaces is marked with LS (Life Star). By clicking on LS, you'll discover the recommended hobbies and occupations for each of them.

Generally, in life, success comes with certain costs, and for every advantage, you can expect a price that must be paid. For instance, a specific combination of stars may help you make money from real estate, but as a side effect, you might experience vision problems and issues with your eyes. In theory, we're all ready to accept the Yin Yang principle, but when we have to confront it in real life, it's a bit tougher.
